Please Note: This is a repeat of the ASIEP-3 and CARS-2 workshop held in Fall 2011.

Inservice Objectives: Participants will –

  • Gain an understanding of the administration and scoring of the subtests of the Autism Screening Instrument for Educational Planning (ASIEP-3) and the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS-2) which are used for determining eligibilities.

Target Audience: Persons involved in the eligibility determination process, such as School Psychologists, SLPs and all interested educational staff.

Participants are asked to bring the ASIEP-3 and CARS-2 manuals from their district assessment kits (manuals only). Groups of attendees from the same district may share their district manuals.

Prerequisites: Have attended an "Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)" inservice or have an adequate understanding of the underlying characteristics of ASD.
