    About this Series

    The Columbia Regional Program autism team is providing online training for parents and caregivers of children with ASD. Our autism specialists will share practical strategies for parents to help their child with ASD access distance-based learning provided by schools. Topics will include ways to maintain engagement/motivation, use of structure and visual supports, behavior management techniques, sensory strategies, and more.


    Dates: Thursday's 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 12/3, 12/17

    Times for each session: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

    The first 90 minutes will focus upon presentation of information and resources, while the final half hour will be for discussion and problem-solving.

    This event will be hosted on Zoom video conference. Once you register, we will send a link one-to-two days in advance. Our presenters will be online 15 minutes early so that you can test audio/video. 

    We encourage you to be on a webcam for discussion. 


    Who can attend?

    Parents and caregivers of children with autism and related needs in Multnomah, Clackamas, Hood River, and Wasco counties. Registration is required. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link prior to each event.
